If recreation is what you seek, Murdo is the right place! In addtion to the hunting & fishing in the area, Murdo has an excellent 9-hole golf course with greens and a watering system. The 'Jones County Sportsman Club' has expanded its services for people interested in target and archery shooting. The Murdo Swimming Pool, outdoor tennis and basketball courts, baseball and softball field as well as the City Park & Playground are great recreation areas. Progressive is one of the ways to describe Murdo. Murdo has a new Industrial Park with several businessess looking to locate there, a Technology/Wellness Center, office headquarters for both 'West Central Electric' and 'West River Lyman Jones Rural Water System', as well as a branch office for 'Golden West Telecommunications'.
